2.COMBINED ADVANCED BUSINESS ENGLISH COURSE - OPTION 2 & YOUNG LEADER’S DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME



After attending our Advanced Business English course, you will then be ready to join the Young Leader's Development Programme, which is a Management Training Programme aimed at middle and senior managers working in companies and organisations in developed or emerging countries, both in the private and public sectors.

 

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

 

Today’s private and public sector organisations are faced with growing global competition, major technological changes, economic complexities and ever-increasing customer expectations. Organisations need graduates and young managers who have an understanding of key management issues and have interpersonal skills. This 9-week intensive full-time programme will help recently appointed managers or young graduates acquire and integrate a whole range of management skills to operate effectively in their new positions.

  • To acquire modern management knowledge and skills
  • Understand how to integrate these skills and apply them to their organisations
  • To recognise the challenges of managing a team in an ever-changing environment
  • To develop personally and develop the organisation’s resources and capabilities

  • Managing people and Organisations including Management and Organisational Behaviour, organisational processes, etc.
  • Managing skills including effective communications, team meetings, etc.
  • Marketing including Customers and Markets, International Marketing, etc.
  • Financial Management and Accounting for the Non-Financial Manager
  • Business Economics including Developments in the international economy, economic flows, fiscal and monetary policies, European Business environment, etc.
  • Strategic Management including managing businesses within an international context, industry analysis, etc.
  • Operations Management and Logistics
  • The Entrepreneurial Economy
  • Business Simulation
  • In-house European Business project including team and individual work

AEA Class Size: Maximum 6 students (average 4)   
MBS Class Size: Maximum 12 students (average 8)
Minimum age: 18 years old    
Average age: 28-30 years old (Summer: 24-25 years old)
Minimum entry level:         Upper Intermediate (B2-)
Duration: 14 weeks 15/03 to 18/0/2010
No of lessons:  25 hours per week Monday – Friday        
MBS classes take place Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 3.30pm

Please note that Active English Academy will be closed on the following days:
In 2011: August 29th and from December 23rd 2011 to January 8th 2012 included.
In 2012: April 6th, April 9th, May 7th, June 4th, June 5th, August 27th and from December 22nd 2012 to January 6th 2013 included.
