ABOUT THE PROGRAMMES


This intensive course is perfect for anyone who needs to improve their overall level of English language skills. Students taking this course learn to communicate effectively in English, broaden their vocabulary and develop their reading and writing skills in a wide range of social situations. Our students improve and progress quickly thanks to small class sizes which guarantee that the teacher can focus attention on the students’ own needs and requirements. Students have a choice of how many hours they wish to study General English and can add Afternoon Workshops to meet their specific interests. The minimum entry level for this course is Beginner (see Levels).

Programme Content

The emphasis will be on improving confidence in speaking and listening in a range of everyday situations that the students face outside the classroom. Activities are practical and varied to ensure students have every opportunity to participate and improve their skills.

Each morning session includes a 15 minute break.

Course Facts:


INTENSIVE GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE WITH AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS

Class Size: Maximum 6 students (average 4)   
Minimum age: 18 years old    
Average age: 28-30 years old (Summer: 24-25 years old)
Minimum entry level:         Beginner
Duration: From one week
Every Monday (every 2nd Monday for beginners)
No of lessons: 20 hours per week Monday – Friday + 2 x 2.5 hour Afternoon Workshops as required
               
Please note that Active English Academy will be closed on the following days:
In 2011: August 29th and from December 23rd 2011 to January 8th 2012 included.
In 2012: April 6th, April 9th, May 7th, June 4th, June 5th, August 27th and from December 22nd 2012 to January 6th 2013 included.
